So many adventures in art!  Here are just a couple that I can take you on...

Linocut

This class explores the basics of printmaking, an art form as old as time! I love it's versatility. Once you learn how to draw your design, carve and transfer onto a printing block, a new door is opened for your creativity to blossom. I offer a  120 minute session. The first part will touch on the basics. We will discuss carving techniques, safety, and the use of pattern and repetition in your design. You will develop an image unique to you. Then it will be all about experimenting with your stamps. Each artist can create a large 3.5"x6" block, and a small accent block.

Includes a set of stationery made by you and a mounted print to take home.

Canvas bags, dinner napkins and tea towels will be  available to purchase and print on. 

Watercolor

Watercolor is not to be feared! Embrace its penchant for running amok all over your paper. Accept  its inability to heed to your constraints! I am being dramatic. All kidding aside, there are ways to make friends with watercolors, and we can explore those in a fun and informative lesson. In a 2 hour session, we will experiment with several techniques used while painting with watercolor. At the end of the session, each artist will take home a matted  painting they created,  and an accordion style booklet for reference.
